Workshop Description

Thriving classical Christian schools recognize that fundraising is far more than asking for money. It is an extension of Christian stewardship and hospitality, inviting constituents to participate joyfully in the formation of students and the flourishing of the institution. While fundraising cultivates broad participation and annual generosity, development builds upon those relationships to secure the major gifts, capital resources, planned giving, and endowments necessary for long-term sustainability. Together they create an advancement culture rooted in mission, relationships, stewardship, and strategic vision.

Drawing on the philosophy and indicators of SCL Standard VIII: Advancement, particularly Indicators 9 and 10, this six-session workshop equips Heads of School, advancement leaders, board members, and development staff to cultivate a biblical culture of generosity while developing a sustainable strategy for funding the school's long-term mission.
